What is modeling scale?
Scale indicates the ratio between the model size and the real size. For example, 1:72 scale means that 1 cm on the model corresponds to 72 cm in reality. It's essential for creating proportionally correct models.
How do I use the 1:87 (HO) scale for model trains?
HO scale (Half-O, 1:87) is the most popular in model railroading. A locomotive 20 cm long in reality corresponds to about 2.3 mm on the model. Enter 20 cm as the real measurement and select scale 1:87 to get the model length.
Can I use custom scales?
Yes, select 'Custom' from the menu and enter the denominator of your scale. For example, for 1:350 scale enter 350.
